Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 - Important Information
There will be a live telecast of the "Address and Interaction of Hon'ble Prime Minister" of India with children of KVS and other schools between 3.00 to 4.45 pm on 5th September, 2014 and arrangement has been made to witness the same not only for the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya but also for the students of neighboring Schools. Hence all students are invited to witness the program.

Out of the 981 KVs’ in India and abroad, K.V. Delhi Cantt No.2 has evolved into a mega entity now. Indeed, this KV has earned a great regard over of the years. It came into being in 1981 and it moved to it's present location in July 1990. It was designated as a Model K.V. The present second shift started in 2004-2005.

News & Reviews
   "World Thinking Day was celebrated on 22 February 2014 by Scouts and Guides of the Vidyalaya. Many activities were done such speech, group song, skit etc. At last honorable Principal Sh. Samer Singh blessed the Scouts and Guides."
   Mr. P. K. Moharana TGT (A.E.) received KVS Incentive Award for his best painting on the occasion of KVS Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
   Notice : Examination scheduled to be held 16.12.2013 at KV No. 2 Delhi Cantt is cancelled due to administration reasons. Fresh date of exam will be notified individual to all candidates later on by post. (By orders of the competent authority.)
   Academic inspection of the Vidyalaya was completed on 17th of September 2013. headed by Mr. Jahan Singh, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Delhi with Mr. A. K. Gautam, Principal, KV Janakpuri, Mr. M. L. Aggarwal, Principal, K. V. Vigyaan Vihar and Mrs. Shobha Sharma, Principal, K. V. Chawla.

   The Vidyalaya Level Science Exhibition (II Shift) was held on 27th Sept. 2013 marking the beginning of preparation for the National Level JLN Science Exhibition to be held later this year.
   Conduct of Regional Sports in the Vidyalaya - Girls (Taekowndo, Hand Ball, Throw Ball, Table Tennis, Rope Skiping) Meet 2013-14.
   The 67th Independence Day was celebrated with full patriotism and true spirit in the Vidyalaya campus.
   Master Ritvik Bose Stood 3rd? in “Sanskrit Bhashan Pratiyogita” which was organized by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Janakpuri, New Delhi.
   26th National Youth Parliament was organized at Dr. S. R. Auditorium on 31st August 2013. Five Schools participated in this event KV AFS Gurgaon, KV No. 1 Faridabad, KV Sainik Vihar, KV Vikaspuri and KV NTPC Badarpur. KV Sainik Vihar Stood First in the Competition.

» Book Fair is organized in the VIdyalaya from 15 to 20 July 2013. National Book Trust is organized this fair under their supervision all students and teachers get benefited by this fair.
   Rohan Anand stood first in Delhi State at National Level Painting Competition
» KV2 Delhi Cantt. - Rohan Anand stood first in Delhi State at National Level Painting Competition : Click to EnlargeRohan Anand of Class X-E (II Shift) stood I in the Delhi State at National Level Painting Competition on “International Security Awareness”. This competition was organized by C-DAC, Ministry of Communication and Information, Technology Govt. of India. Rohan Anand was awarded by a certificate and a cheque of R. 5000/-.
   Principal of the Vidyalaya was facilitated
» Sh. Samer Singh, Principal of the Vidyalaya was facilitated by the staff and students for being nominated for the “National Award”. The award will be presented by The President of India on 5th September 2013, which is celebrated as ‘Teacher’s Day’.
   Achievements (2012-13) - Students
» 154 students from both the Shifts participated in a ROSHNI–LOGO competition on Cleanliness organised by the NGO Roshni in May, 2012. All the participants were later Felicitated by Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, the Hon’ble President of India in a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan.
» 3 Scouts & 03 Guides from Shift I have been selected for the Rashtrapati Puraskar Testing Camp-2012.
» Amit Kumar, student of class XII -Science has been declared among the top 1% students at Class XII CBSE Examination and is eligible for the Scholarship for the Higher Education (SHE) by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology of Govt. of India under the scheme of INSPIRE.
» Master Prashant of X A was awarded the consolation prize at the National level for his exhibit on Flood Alarming Systemwhich was conducted at KV INA Ahmadabad
» The First Round of Inspection conducted on 9 Sept., 2011 rated the vidyalaya as OUTSTANDING in SHIFT-I and VERY–GOOD in SHIFT-II
» Chhahat Ahlawat of Class X was selected as one of the KV students to visit Japan under the Cultural Youth Exchange Program (JENYS)in 2011. Rishi Mukherjee of class-XI has been selected this year for the same.
» 3 Students of this Vidyalaya Nikita Dahiya (VIII ), Ravi Raja (X) & Akash (XI) were selected for 19th KVS National Children Science Congress which was held from 24th -25th November, 2011 in Jaipur.
» Nikita Dahiya (VIII) was again selected for the second Phase of 19th KVS National Children Science Congress which was held from 27th - 31st December, 2011 in Jaipur University. She was one of the 2 students selected to represent KVS - Delhi Region.
   A Commendable Achiever
» Ravi Raja - Click to EnlargeMaster Ravi Raja has been selected for participation in London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) – 2012" to take place in London from 16th to 30th August, 2012.
» Ravi Raja, a student of Class-X innovated a new kind of Wind Turbine for the generation of Electricity. Its an improved form of the conventional Wind-Mill and works even at a wind speed of 4-6m/s. Application to patent it has been filed.
» Ravi has won a National Level Award at Initiative for Research and Innovation in Science (IRIS) National Fair held in Chandigarh in November, 2011 for this Project. He also represented Team India at the International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) in London from 16-30 August, 2012.
   Achievements – Sports
» 65 Students from both the Shifts have been selected at the Regional Level (Sports) & will represent KVS – Delhi Region at the KVS National Sports and Games in October, 2012.
» 38 Gold, 76 Silver & 28 Bronze Medals have been won by the Students at the KVS Regional Level (Sports).
   Achievements (2011-12) – Teachers
» Kota Coaching Institute – RESONANCE – conducted the Resonance Test in the Vidyalaya on an all India Level with the approval of KVS.
» The Vidyalaya bagged III position in Shift I & II position in Shift II on the basis of result out of 500 schools. 85,000 students appeared in the test. 6 out of 8 prizes were won by the school. The Vidyalaya was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 75,000/- & the Principal got a cash prize of Rs. 75,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- for being the best Principal and for maximum participation.
   Vidyalaya - Venue for Important KVS Events
» Cultural Evening for Deputy Commissioners of KVS was organized on 5th July, 2012.
» The Vidyalaya also hosted and organized the 25th Regional Level National Youth Parliament on 25 August, 2012 in Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Auditorium.
» Felicitation Ceremony of the National Awardees - 2011 on 6 Sept., 2012 in Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Auditorium.
» KVS Teachers’ National & Regional Incentive Award Ceremonies in Nov. & Dec., 2012 respectively.
